Adorable ! Very sad about the 3 prior homes. Do the rescues not explain the needs of a border collie? They need a lot of exercise and training.Loup-garou wrote: ↑Mon Feb 23, 2026 12:13 pm Et vous voilà! His name is Tokie (Tokyo), he is three years old and we are his fourth home.

No Lori, I guess they do not. They need to move dogs out and get a rescue fee.
People see Border Collies working on the TV and think that they come out of the box like that. No effort or time investment needed on their part. In the UK we rescued difficult or problem collies - and you soon become known so organisations contact you to see if there is a vacancy. We got up to five at a time until last year (one more than my wife's ideal "We have four hands so no one misses out on a pat") but that is the limit you can transport between UK and France and we were inbetweeners for many years.
We had decided to reduce our numbers after two deaths (old age) last year, but we can't resist looking at Border Collie Rescues in the UK and here. Tokie caught our attention because he had been move around so often at such a young age so, after enquiring, here he is. Blaze is absolutely right, usually older well behaved dogs pass on correct behaviour to new dogs. None of the others chase fighter jets .................... yet!
I do apologise rabbit. No attack yet and do I detect that Trump has been quiet for 36-48 hours?

Ah, that explains it. Trump was busy colouring in his "State of the Nation" papers!Loup-garou wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 10:46 am No attack yet and do I detect that Trump has been quiet for 36-48 hours?

He's so thick that he thinks tariffs on goods coming into the US will bully everyone else to dance to his tune. The US citizens are going to pay at the tills one way or another.

That's true and I don't see any sign of Venezuelan oil reducing costs in the US - apparently he's content for it to be sold to Cuba.

The real earner is the backhanders Trump himself is getting from the (American) oil companies he has sent to get the Venezuelan oil production back up to speed.

Trump is a strong supporter of Fracking. He therefore has a great interest in keeping oil prices high.
When I was in the industry some 15 years ago, the break point for Fracking profitability was $60/barrel. I have no doubt that Fracking costs have fallen since then but there will still be an oil value below which further investment in Fracking will not look profitable.
You will note that at the start of the year oil prices were sinking. Then Trump steps up the rhetoric against Iran and low oil prices bounce back. Reading too much into things? Possibly but it does seem to be a strong coincidence.

On the surface it appears that Trump is a senile ignorant dipstick hell bent on his own self promotion. He doesn't strike me as someone who is bright enough to manipulate the world market but I'm sure he has some people close to him who are guiding at least some of his actions.

I could buy that it is Trump's team rather than the inert lump of orange jelly itself.
