Water bill

#1 Post by Blaze »

For the 4th year in a row, our use of water has gone down. We're now at almost half the daily level of the average person in France. Yes, we do shower, wash our clothes, use a dishwasher etc but we're careful with water and any run off goes into the loo or on the garden.

As with most things, our usage has gone down but we are paying more. That seems to be the way life is these days.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

Similar to how I pay for my electricity, here in Spain for my water I also pay only for what I use, no sneaky incomprehensible standing charges or add-ons etc.

@ €2.50/m3 most months I pay just €10 but because of rounding occasionally it's €12.50. I think the most I ever paid was €15 but that was because I'd been doing a fair bit of power washing.
The price has not varied in the 6 years I've lived here.
