In 47 we are hosting 2 stages of the Tour de France and at the sports complex in Le Temple sur Lot an aquatic team are being hosted.
This seems an ideal time to be digging up the whole of Villeneuve and remodelling le Temple.
Will they be finished on time? If not, the sprint finish on potholes and pebbles will be quite interesting.

We were always utterly impressed by the quality of the roads in this Dept, but they've definitely gone to pot (holes) recently. The Val de Garonne communes seem worst hit. Even in our little village, the Maire has several grandiose projects going on, but seems to be able to ignore the huge craters all over the place. I wouldn't mind, but then the conseil start slapping speed bumps and chicanes all over the place....what a waste of money!

Our mountain roads are far from perfect but seem adequate for the safe driving speed - and certainly seem a lot better than the reports of UK roads. However, when there is a major resurfacing operation we joke that we can expect a major cycling race to be announced soon.
So far right two out of two - criterium and TdF.
