According to the Guardian Chelsea have sacked Thomas Tuchel.
A poor start to the season and a 1-0 defeat in Zagreb last night. Then again he did guide Chelsea to win the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the World Club Championship recently and get them into two domestic cup finals last season.
One wonders what is considered as success in football nowadays!

Success = win, win, win. Lose, and you're out.Loup-garou wrote: โWed Sep 07, 2022 11:58 am One wonders what is considered as success in football nowadays!
I hate this. I used to stand on the terraces at Stamford Bridge in the days of Bonetti, Osgood and Hollins. The most CFC won was the FA Cup, but the atmosphere was good. After I saw what Ibramovich did and the way football were going, I stopped supporting Chelsea. At least The Arse are (a bit) more supportive of their managers (so far).

Apply yourself. A lot of people around the world support MUFC (god knows why) and have never been to Old Trafford.

I've never been to Emirates or the old Highbury stadium. I used to take my sons to the Dell when that was Soton's home. But Yeovil? Um...

Yeovil Town, where old footballers go to die and the young try to escape as fast as possible! Spirited, fighting, with a very loyal group of fans. I reckon their total annual budget is about one monthโs wages of some of the Permiershipโs overpaid prima donnas. But they are the heart of English football.
