I’m sure any rugby fanatics of a certain age will recall watching him playing for Coventry and England in the seventies. He was a great player.

They were great days, all those charismatic players - JPR, Gibson et al. Duckham too, but I have to confess he made less of an impression on me.

That was his standout game, but to be fair he played for an absolutely rubbish England Team at the time.
