Finally got the lawn & the shrubs looking half decent after letting things get away in the winter.

Lovely - but if that amount of lawn belonged to me I'd have to be employing a robot mower. Like this one but for the garden.

Including the flower beds it's about 2,500M2 &, on a good day takes about 1 1/2 hours with my supa dupa Stiga frontal cutting, mulching lawn tractor.
Trouble is, it got away during the mildish winter & I didn't want to try to cut it for fear of Bob (RIP) bringing cuttings into the house.
Well, that's my excuse.
It continued growing & has been like painting the Forth bridge inasmuch as it almost needed cutting again the day after I'd finished & required the huge amount of cuttings sweeping up with my towed sweeper which I must have done 5-6 times. Cuttings apreciated by Mme LAF for mulching so she was pleased.
It's now at the stage where I can go back to a once a week mulching cut with very little cuttings to bother about hence my "Got there at last" post.

One of our sons has dropped in with 3 plants and a bag of compost and took one look at the mess of weeds I'm growing and said "and after planting, I'll see what I can do about unplanting the weeds!" He's a professionjal gardener, so I think his sensibilities were affected.

Talking about grass cutting.
I've just cut about 1.5 Ha of long grass in part of our field with my tractor & 2m wide axial broyeur which is an absolute gem. Took about 3 hours.
Work smart not hard is my MO now.

@L Austin France We used to have one of those at our old place (if I remember rightly it was a Morgnieux) - much better than the gyrobroyeur. It did an excellent job in our plantation. I see you've no back on your tractor either - I used to wear ear defenders when using the cutter !!!
