3C forecast for next Monday. If you've got the wherewithal to collect grass mowings, making heaps under fruit trees can stave off frost damage.

We have apple, cherry, and plum trees. Only the cherry has any sign of life at the moment. About a quarter inch of green leaf shoots. All the rest are looking quite dead.
Blossom, what's that?
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

Whether that works or not I've just done that and saved a lot of walking to get rid of the cuttings. Where I will put the next lot.....
