A Christmas song for our times.......
"Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is the birthplace of one of the world's favourite carols, the Carol of the Bells.
But there are few signs of Christmas in the city this year. Just a dusting of snow on deserted streets and skeletal buildings - and the constant sound of heavy shelling.
Pokrovsk is Russia's next target. Its troops are now less than two miles (three kilometres) from the city centre."

I think most of this will recognise this tune...with some improvised instruments.

A Christmas song for our times.......
Christmas is the one time we can look inwards and be with or think of family and friends. We can't take all the troubles of the world on our shoulders without a little break.
We've invited a young friend who we know through our Caribbean dance classes (!) and who has joined the Croix Rouge Française as a Secouriste Equipier. She's on her own this Christmas (complicated family history ...) so we're pushing the boat out to make her visit fun and joyful.

A really nice gesture @Blaze
Best wishes to all for Xmas. Don't drink or eat too much but nevertheless enjoy the day.
