Increases in energy prices, again....

#1 Post by Bayleaf »

Couldn't find the original thread which has this title, but, woah!!!

Finally managed to create an Espace Client on EDF, and had a good look around. Just looked at the Prix/kWh and see it now says 0,1740. Last month the prix was 0.0974.

So, holy crap - not only has our consumption increased as we've been at home more due to bad weather/Covid and health issues, but the cost is going to nearly double, while income has gone down.

Good 'ere, innit?

? I just looked at our recent facture and 0,0809 Creuse and 0,1193 Pleine. How do your figures stack up with the supposed 4% limit on increases this year? I'm puzzled!

I will await our next facture with interest!

There must be something else behind that increase as it was reported that Macron capped increases at 4% this year.

We're on Tarif Bleu, one rate - and yes, I thought the prices had been capped? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something too...

Hope so! :?

I reckon you're looking at the nett rate before it's almost doubled by taxes & whatever.

@Wilbro Who are you with ?

For EDF prices :
https://selectra.info/energie/fournisseurs/edf/tarifs

We're on Tarif Bleu with heures creuses en option
As of 1st Feb 2022, we pay HC 0.1470 HP 0.1841 TTC
Our standing charge for 9 kw is 183.63 € + all the taxes.

Fortunately we don't use any electric heating (it would be extremely uneconomical in our house).

As in, the 0.0974 was the net rate before additions as mentioned, and the new 0.1740 includes all those taxes etc.?

@Blaze spot
EDF is our supplier and has been for 15 years. HOWEVER in my haste to post the figures are net of TVA so add 20% to them. Our last bill with standing charges and TVA rolled in works out at an average across pleine and creuse of 0,1936 and that was for 862 units so not as attractive as first thought. It works out at 0,165 when standing charges are deducted but TVA left in.
