Well here nothing has changed.
In the past I have refused items and sent them back to the UK to collect later.
I have stuff shipped from the US to here - much lower taxes than to UK and cheaper than products available in shops. But a big avoid for shipping with USPS - not only very slow but they also use the local postal service for delivery this end which mean inflated costs and a trip to the Post Office to collect. I have learned always to chose UPS.

I ordered a keypad for OH's laptop after she threw a glass of wine on it, only £9.95 from the UK, and it arrived in about 10 days in the box. customs label with computer part and £9.95 as value. I was fully expecting some sort of charge but I got it on eBay fr and it was a uk company.
