5/4/22 9.35 Lot et Garonne just heard a faint but definite first cuckoo.

I haven't heard a cuckoo yet but I did see two Hoopoes on Sunday - I thought this was quite early.

First heard 24th March in dept 24

2nd April for us in 49

I've been hearing Bojo all year and he is as cuckoo as you can get

There’s a section for all the comments about the Uk ,Boris etc it isn’t the wildlife in France one

Biggles heard our first cuckoo when walking our dog on 29th March; 11 days later than the earliest over the past 18 years. Neither of us has heard it since - perhaps because it's been snowed on and frozen.

Later on today 5/4/22, I spotted 2 swallows but it’s certainly not summer yet!
