We had to take our big van out yesterday to collect some plaster board and stuff.
It's old, so there's no clime, half way there OH decided to put the blower on, and when he opened the vents on his side of the van he was pelted with ants and eggs.
'twas like a waterfall I've never seen anything like it in my life.
Still, ants are better than mice I suppose.

Strange place for an ants nest
They're a real nuisance here because we're on sandy soil. Funnily enough they don't seem to have been quite as bad this year ... so far.

Strange place for an ants nest
No ants here but the flies are epic this year. We keep a swatter in every room near the usual seating and an industrial size electric zapper running upstairs and downstairs.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.
