Koi Carp

With our impending move it is necessary to move on our collection of Koi Carp, but where are you supposed to advertise them for sale. None of the Facebook groups will take them as FB's rules on selling livestock are strict, even LeBonCoin only take cats and dogs. Definitely do not want a fishing lake scenario, any ideas?

There used to be a local paper in Saumur near the theatre, I think it was called le Kiosk.
You could also try newspapers like Telegram, Ouest France, Nouvelle Republique ....
Try asking your local Mairie, or even the one in Saumur.
Is there a fishing shop in the area ?

If you need to draft an ad in French @ Hughnique, post it on here and I'm sure we can help. If you ask for replies by e-mail or SMS initially, easier to deal with than phone calls! I don't know whether Koi are attractive to sticky-fingered types here in France, but keep the address vague ;)

No I have not actually joined it but I did get in touch with a member and he came one and a half hours each way to have a look at my set up and the fish. He wasn't interested in taking the whoppers but there are a few nice named varieties, a bit smaller he liked but not the right time of the year to move them. Some of these enthusiasts seem a bit over the top to me, on an initial e mail to me he wanted to know the breeders of the fish their sex, and other matters which I did not have a clue about, reckoned I had gone way over the top with UV, but then he didn't see the horrendous green soup I suffer with without treatment via UV. Anyway he left after a bit of a non-committal meeting and I have not heard a word since, in fact I sent him an e mail yesterday, as he sent me some Facebook groups for disposing of the fish, but as I said in my initial post, they don't accept livestock for sale. I will have another go at Leboncoin, advertising the filters and pumps etc, and not mention the fish, then if I get a contact I can say that unable to dismantle the equipment before the fish are sold, you never know.

I think my missus has some good fish recipes, dinner might be the easiest way to part with them.
