Does anyone know if there is a box to tick on the 2042K to show you have a S1 - I have referenced Article 19 of the double taxation agreement in the past which exonerated those on gov pensions taxed in the UK from social charges - Now l'm not so sure (probably having a Senior moment of confusion).

From the Isabelle Want/BH Assurances tax help I directed all to earlier (see p4 and p8):
2042C: This is the form to have if you are under the French health system via an S1 (you are receiving a state pension). You need to tick box 8SH (declarant 1) and/or 8SI (declarant 2) to avoid paying Social charges on your interest. You can also find box 8VL which is the 17.7% tax credit on your dividends. Those boxes are on the last page of form 2042-C.

My error - apologies. I mistakenly thought that 2042K was just another version of 2042 but that it did include S1 boxesOldblueraincoat wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 6:37 pm

I had to do it last year, what a pain. Because my part had paid far too much tax in that year they reduced my prepayment on pension to zero and gave me money back. This year I have a lot to pay.
Another interesting thing was the foreign bank account, which courtesy of Barclays/Brexit got chopped. I just said no and all was accepted.

There is only one 2042, but it is broken down into parts. So everyone has to complete the basic 2042.
2042-C (COMPLÉMENTAIRE) is a supplement, as is 2042-K-IOM (INVESTISSEMENTS OUTRE-MER) covering other items. There are others. See https://www.impots.gouv.fr/formulaire/2 ... es-revenus
All 2042 is outlined in 2041-NOT on that page.
There is also the complete guide (431 pages) to the declaration of revenues Brochure Pratique 2023
