TAXE d amenagement.

#1 Post by Spectrum »

I dont think this is a new Tax but looking at it and doing the simulator building things has just become expensive, that's if Iam understanding correctly, swimming pools are going to be taxed at 250€ per SqMt Garden sheds etc are a bit cheaper, if I want to put a garage on my land of 30SqMt then the tax will be nearly 4000€. Parking space's, caravans parked up, are liable to this tax. So I hope I am wrong as I would like to build a hobby workshop, but not at any price :? so I assume someone on here will be able to clear this up, merci.

It does look expensive but looking at the explanatory notes the cost is dependant on the % applied by your department.

I did the re-calculation recently. In 2007 we paid €3000 in two instalments, 18 months apart, for the 250m2 barn conversion. No taxe on outbuildings at the time. At today's rate we'd pay €36,000

You can put your dept into the calculator, the 4000€ was for the workshop in my dept  So as a percentage cost this tax would have been about a quarter of the cost, will have to re-think.

I have already paid tax on my new chicken and duck house, trouble is, I haven't been able to start building it yet. I submitted the building application early and suspect the tax on it today might be a lot more.

Ive just done a quick simulation for the workshop we built in 2007. It would cost us 22k in taxes now. It wouldn’t be happening at that price!
The extension we put on the house in 2010 would cost us 12k in taxes now - again this would have seriously affected what we would have done. Our communal is drawing 3% our dept 1.4%

Sorry I dont know how perhaps one of the more savy ones could help out. For where I live its working out at 133€ per Sqmt I was going to build a nice workshop, so something will have to wait.

If you Google Taxe d’Amenagement Simulateur you’ll find a link but the one I tried was a bit limited in its options. There are also lots of pages on gouv fr explaining the formula for the calculation if you don’t think you’re head will explode looking at it!

I did find those, but they seem to mention only the 'base value' for - in my case - a pool. If I understand this, the tax is determined on the base value. The tax is NOT the base value.
