Tax Ombudsman?

#12 Post by L Austin France »

Mrs LAF has just received an email from the friendly head office tax dragon detailing every item which was being queried & agreeing everything my missus pointed out was wrong.
She also said that a largish sum of money, wrongly taken fron our bank a/c was being repaid & that no future problems with regards to incorrect assessments for us SI holders should occur.
She even signed off with the French equivelent of "best regards". :D
Mrs LAF's delighted to get everything in writing & relieved she can now put this protracted battle to bed.

My wife has just received a message from the idiot dragons at our sub tax office confirming things have now been corrected in our favour & that a largish sum of money, previously 'stolen' from our bank a/c by said idiots, will be reinbursed.
The most intereresting thing was 2 words contained in the message which whilst not admitting their errors was .."admission totale"

By post this morning we received another letter from the Dragons.
This time 7 pages detailing exactly our tax situation & agreeing completely with Mme LAF's calculations.
Letter signed by the Inspecteur divisionnaire.
Seems like they may be taking us seriously at last :D
