We have land, our house is within it but we've been wondering if the top end is possibly building land.
It's a large enough area to split for another house to be built.
Is there a website or do we need to apply in order to find out?

The cadastral plan ( https://www.cadastre.gouv.fr/scpc/rechercherPlan.do ) might show whether it's constructible but you'd need to check the local PLU at the Mairie as well. Communes have drawn up more recent planning outlines which would dictate whether you could apply for a Permis de Construire or sell as a building plot. A lot depends on existing services, and whether they could be extended to provide for a new dwelling.

I’m not sure the local marie will be able to answer as the latest move from Paris requires the Com Com to decide on new construction applications.

They will have a copy of the existing PLU though, which should give an idea of whether it's worth pursuing an application?
