Banking question

#1 Post by Headers »

I’m not sure this is the right place to put this.
To simplify my admin life I am gradually closing down a bank account and changing insurer.
Due to inaction on my part I have been seriously overpaying for some years.
I have entered a RIB code in my online insurance account which transfers the payment to be taken out of my CAg account. Do I have to give CAg a Mandat to allow it to be taken?
I’ve tried various questions in the help system to no avail

I have never sent an additional notification to my bank when I've given a RIB to a service supplier Headers - that applies to both CA and LCL.

That’s good. I can remember many years ago having to go into the bank to set up an authorisation for the impots to dip into my account. Perhaps things have moved onto the 20th century now! (But not quite to the 21st)
