@ Polarengineer, could have been in Amsterdam, but is 20 km from there, it is the St. Barbara Gasthuis (Hospital) in Haarlem. Where we also find another old entrance door to a complex of buildings of the St. Elisabeth Gasthuis, official establishment date 1581. The archives mention the existence of a hospital already in 1406.

I forgot the exact location. I was staying both in Amsterdam and Haarlem and working in Haarlem at the time
