Doors

Thank you Char - l hope doors in France hold the same fascination for others as they do for me - l normally use Google's 'Snapseed' editing tools and recently added a little PicsArt 'Magic'.

Without editing tools, straight from my old Panasonic camera (Leica lens):

In Auxerre, a road leading downhill to the river, nice inscription: "NON ARMIS SED VERBO 1578"

In Vezelay, summertime:

OBR, about your question. I've not seen these doors real life, so simpleminded as I am sometimes, I ask myself: what comes closest to your own memory of these doors? Editing to bring that feeling back, or editing to create something more beautiful?

About lost TNFF content, to busy in the garden to go out and make new pictures, so for the moment only recycling old stuff (lucarne included):

As they say, "One persons meat is another persons poison" - I produce pictures that l have enjoyed taking and editing, they are Images that please me and if enjoyed by others that's a bonus. - Nothing more.

I love old doors and windows and there's such a wealth of them in France. Please keep 'em coming !
OBR - I prefer the edited version as to me they have more feeling, sentiment, olde world, less harsh. In the edited version of the church door, the shaft of light has more emphasis - I like it !

There is a door somewhere, (I hope it's good enough).
