Yes @Oldblueraincoat ! It depicts a dying lion carved in memory of the Swiss Guards who were killed defending the Tuileries. It's a really moving place.

Keeping in the theme - this life size statue was installed in 1924 in North America - but where?

There is a copy in France but it was rather weather beaten when l first photographed it.
