Birds in the garden

#1 Post by Blaze »

We have a very slow internet connection and large photos are not only impossible for me to see, but they make it impossible for me to post photos on some threads.
Starting a new one seems to be the only way I can get it to work.

The Dunnock is one of my favourites, a discreet little bird with a beautiful song if you are fortunate enough to hear it.

One of three domestic (greylag?) geese that honked at me as I walked past a nearby garden yesterday

Not in the garden, clinging on to a wall with a little crack, searching for an open window.....

@ Blaze, tiny little baby bird, smartphone as magnifying glass. Several forests around here and trees in the garden (an early September morning).

It's nice to have mature trees in a garden to attract birds and insects. This place was a farm, so most of what we have in the garden has been planted by us in the last 6 years.
The giveaway about your little bird is its long beak for winkling out the insects (as well as its colouring).
