Pretty in pink, not a man bag!

Hotrodder, I'm afraid I have to correct that image somewhat, about first steps. Once, when I was sitting at a coffee table, I heard someone say that unfortunately she could no longer listen to her records by the Stones, the Cream, the Animals, the Kinks and Dylan. With my usual interest in technology – and more – I asked what exactly the problem was. Old-fashioned setup: turntable with crystal pickup connected to the Aux input of an old-fashioned tube radio. I more or less invited myself as technical support to do something about it. With a tool bag, soldering iron, AVO minor multimeter, not only triodes but also EF, ECF, ECH, ECL, EL and EZ tubes, the only thing I had to do was to replace a defective ECL tube (triode + pentode) tube in the low frequency/audio section.

Years ago I managed to destroy my AVO model 40 (I think it was) by absent mindedly testing mains voltage with the selector set to test "current". Bang!
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Must say I dislike the expression "man bag".
Much prefer "Baise-en-ville."
For those that don't know this expression.......
