For my rather expensive electronic measuring equipment, I have several carrying cases from Fluke, for (multi)meters that are still as accurate after a few decades as they were when they were new. That creates expectations. Unfortunately, the black foam used in those carrying cases starts to slowly disintegrate after a few years, leaving behind lots of loose black crumbs. I hope your choice of foam layers works out better. You want to pamper that kind of equipment a little, don't you?
