Hunters

The two dogs scampered eagerly into the woods. Beyond the wood they emerged into the
sunlight. The spaniel picked up a scent, rabbit or hare, and the greyhound watched with a wary eye. They were a team. Finder and chaser. Swift race; kill.

Legs stopped twitching.
Eyes opened to the heat of the fire.
Time to eat.
Dogs dream too.

Like that.
Few words.
But you painted an easily seen picture.

Thank you, I have short, and I have long, I like them equally. But short makes a pithy point.

t'is lovely David - they must be hunting mustn't they. I really miss watching mine sleep they always made me smile.
