Suggest you look at the % per 10m list published in the I. And compare with the same in France, made our hair stand on end and increased our worry for family.
Have you got a link for that

The U.K. numbers at 41,000 are currently rising, as are the deaths.

Interesting listening to Head of AZ on R4 suggesting the mechanisms of RNA vs "dead virus" technologies - with the latter not stopping infection but preventing severe cases and hospitalisation better.

He suggested this may be behind the recent uptick in hospitalisation in Europe - where RNA vaccines were predominant.

Interesting if detailed analysis backs up his claims!

I'm not a numbers person but my understanding of statistics is that they can be interpreted according to taste.
French news has recently highlighted increased infections, not just in the Dom-Toms but on the mainland. Now the PM has Covid.
From what I read, the big difference between FR and UK is the speed of reaction to each outbreak, respectively rapid-response and snail-like.

Although this is a SudOuest Article, the map does show the whole of France....

"Wearing masks outdoors becomes obligatory again in 26 Depts".
