In our local supermarkets mask wearing is for a minority but usually the older end of the spectrum, more sense perhaps!

Yes. Also, half the population can't simultaneously breathe and wear a mask...

And quite a number think they are chin warmers.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

Like our butcher in the local Casino. All through the worst of the pandemic round his chin. Talking ,joking and guffawing with locals whilst stretched over both the meat abnd the cheese counters. Stopped buying anything there.

Our PCR testing centre is the only one in Saint-Malo, and it risks becoming a super-spreader centre if people with symptoms or who have tested positive on an antigène test come in without masks :( We don't have the facilities to separate them apart from insisting on distancing. Those of us that have had Covid once certainly don't want to risk getting it again.

Blaze can’t you insist people wear a mask
and refuse to treat them. I am in CHU in Rennes and everyone must wear a mask

Rabbit - yes we will insist and most people would have the good sense to comply. But we know we'll get the odd person who will refuse - past experience has shown that the awkward ones are of middle and upper-middle age
I just hope the lab will tell us we can refuse people ... but the PITA ones are within the law to refuse.
Very few people wear FFP2 masks and we can only hope that distancing will be enough. Our boss is suggesting that if someone is awkward that we fast track him - in other words, allow him to jump the queue which is outrageous, but may be our only option.
Fortunately 99% of the public that we see are reasonably responsible.

Just seen that masks are still obligatory the hospital in Saint Malo and its EHPADS, so we should be able to do the same ..

@Blaze I wonder if it would be allowed to shame those that wont wear a mask such as making them wear a coloured badge to enter and large notices stating why some have to wear a badge? I remember when I went to the Doctorlib centre a man was shown the door by the mail receptionist cos he didn't come with a mask - he was told to go the pharmacy and buy one. The pharmacy was several km distant so guess the man didn't bother as he was on a bicycle - he didn't arrive back whilst I was still there waiting.

Our pharmacy still insists on masks and was enforcing it this morning. The next pharmacy is just under a 20 minute drive away so there is some real pressure to comply.
