My son and his wife applied via the govt site to share their home with a Ukrainian refugee family. That was 3 weeks ago and since then nothing.

One must hope that the exit of BoJo will also result in the exit of Ms Patel as well. How anyone can have so many failings on her watch and still keep her job is astounding - even if she does tick boxes.

It seems that the Russian warship Moskva has sunk while being towed, having been hit by a Ukrainian missile 👍

And apparently, it was an old missile too - hopefully, the next batch from the west will be even more effective.

I heard the US has promised to send some stuff over. It might be some old kit that has been in storage for decades or some of it might be new stuff that needs real life testing. Whatever it is let's hope this isn't just empty promises.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

Sadly, old kit and empty promises seem to be closer to home.

Look on the bright side. The Russian stuff sounds like it is not up to much anyway, nor is their military leadership and logistics planning.
They even have ships that catch fire and sink without any outside influence.

Some light relief, this story emerged in the Sunday Sport and discussed on HIGNFY last night - if true, it could explain why Putrid has so much hatred against mankind. If false - still hilarious!
