The changes are not due to come in until Saturday, so what is shown is the current position.

I would expect to see a change over the next couple of days showing the situation from Saturday onwards.

If they don't test people moving around countries, that's just crazy. Our old Dutch clients, who flipped down to SA, then (we think) returned a week later, are both double vaccinated and one has just tested positive for Covid. Not sure whether they're still in SA or back in Holland. Having the vaccine doesn't stop you catching it, or carrying it, so why would they not test people?

And to be really cheerful, the PCR tests give 20% false negative results anyhow.

I prefer to have the excuse to be anti-social and just avoid all contact if I can. Currently trying to explain that to the hospital as to why I do not want their preferred treatment.

It's been (being) a great excuse for us anti-social peeps! Might have affronted some by continuing to refuse to have visitors or drop in on people who say they're careful (when they're clearly not!) Thankfully our son is a bit of a hermit anyway, so he's currently not bothered - although that's not good long term. He has online friends across the globe - social distancing to the extreme!

The French gouv websites haven't been updated yet, and according to various press reports it hasn't been clearly stated which test vaccinated incomers from the UK and other non-EU countries will need, from Saturday 4th.
PCR test seems most likely.
Am glad we have no plans to go anywhere further than local shopping, and a tad further afield for some medical appts.

My son is flying into Heathrow at 6am on the 10th and then looking to journey on to Limoges for a few days. There is a flight from Heathrow but it must go all around Europe and takes 12 hours at a cost of £241. His best bet is to go to Stanstead and catch the next mornings flight for a tenner, taking less than an hour and a half.
The French embassy in Bangkok has told him that all he needs is a pass sanitaire confirming his 2 vaccinations.

The new Décret n° 2021-1551, already published in its version initiale, is now in force. In today's edition of le Journal Officiel this Décret, go to "Ministère des solidarités et de la santé" and there it is, # 30.

The website of the French embassy in London will probably be updated in the next few hours, it still mentions: "TRAVELLING FROM THE UK TO FRANCE This section is currently being amended."
