They are not actually on my sofa but the pair of them do make access rather difficult

Comfy footwarmers.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

They're well trained Liz - mine would have been on the sofa and I'd be sitting on the floor.

Two of our five tend to do that. I can get onto the sofa OK but getting back off is quite a different manoeuver!

No, he's a goldendoodle, and very much in need of a bath. I can do the bath and shampoo, but getting him dry in the winter is impossible so he has a rdv booked at the doodle parlour on Saturday. We haven't told him yet, sshhhh....
Both are ex guide dog school, the doodle opted out early, the retriever was a working guide dog now retired (we puppywalked him)

That might be a good place to find a dog?

'Failed' guide or assistance dogs can make lovely pets, you could acquire a young dog ready house trained who can't quite make the grade. It could be that the hips show signs of early problems, or the dog just doesn't have enough self-confidence, like our doodle.
Expect to be put on a waiting list and to be quizzed about your doggy background, and to make a donation.
