Definitely not a scam.I get these from time to time. Has anything changed in you circumstances recently? New doctor? New insurance? Moved house? In my caisse ( CPAM de GARD ) they ask you to update it annually as a matter of course. The pharmacy will do it for you no probs. No need to click on any links. It's just a case of updating the info on the card so that your repayments can be made as quickly as possible.

No, what you wrote that it is updated every time you go to the doctor or pharmacy. That is not the case, although every time you do go it will flag if the card needs to be updated. In our pharmacy at least, updating is done on a separate machine to the one that acts as a reader for your meds/consultation.L Austin France wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 9:45 pmThat's what I said in my original response.exile wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 9:25 pmYou don't update it (although I think that possibility might be there in some big pharmacies), the counter staff do it. They probably have just never mentioned it.L Austin France wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 8:51 pm As far as I'm aware, in the twenty years we've had CV's we have never been asked to update 'em.
Been asked a few questions at the desk when getting blood tests & present it to doctor & pharmacy every 3 months during/following checkups but don't remember ever specifically being asked to update it.

Quite possibly but sometimes it is necessary to be accurate - really accurate.
Anyone taking your first post at face value, who had visited the doctor last week and received an AMELI email this week, would be quite entitled to believe it was a scam. Their carte vitale was updated last week. Except of course it was not.
That is why pedantry can have its place.
OK?
