Some time around the end of April. We've got a commitment before then and don't want to have to leave him with anyone until he gets used to us. It's important that the transition can be as uncomplicated as possible for him. It also gives his owners time ...

That’s really good news and so sensible to delay his arrival.
What a handsome boy and I’m sure you’ll give each other lots of fun and love.

We're meeting up with the behaviourist next week, one of the conditions of having the dog. She'll be bringing her own dog, also an Aussie, so we'll see how they get on.

It's great to hear that Rafal has such a loving family that wants to make sure that he goes to someone equally as caring. I've always had dogs that need re-homing and seldom find such care from owners. It's obviously going to be emotonal for them to say goodbye to him but they must be so pleased that they found him such a good home. I've always found that with love and reassurance a dog will settle into a new home quite quickly. Rafal looks like such a happy boy, as well as being gorgeous! Best of luck.

Do his owners want no news at all of him Blaze?
After we adopted Blitz and Blaze from Debs and her family in 2010, I used to ring her on their birthday to give an annual report. One year I tried and their number must have changed, so we didn't speak for some 7 years or so. One day out of the blue our phone rang and it was Debs.
She'd lost and recently refound our number. By then sadly, both the boys were dead but I was able to tell her all about their lives with us and sent her a load of photos. It was a nostalgic and positive call.
