I have had my dishwasher for just over 54 years, however she is far from silent, and is slowing up a bit now.

Had dishwashers for many years, 30+, the advice for the modern ones is not to rinse, as they have sensors, that adjust the wash according to the amount of dirt :? soiling :? etc. The newer ones use rock Another gadget is a Microwave our first was a "Toshiba" the size of a small car, 1978, never been without one. The picture is just two dishwashers, they call them "Double draw" they are about £1500 "Fisher & Paykel" are one manufacturer of them.

No need for a rinse or prewash if you have a dog.
Humanity landed on the moon over fifty years ago but it seems too much to ask for a reliable telephone/internet service in rural France.

That doesn't stop the muck clogging the filter (which is easily removable and washable)
I wipe off any grease too because while the dishwasher may cope, the drains won't !
@Hotrodder Yes, brilliant for stuck on stuff !!!

We were invited to a meal at our English neighbors once, after finishing, the plates were put on the floor for the bullmastiff to lick, absolutely disgusting, when I told her so I was told that they will go in to the dishwasher before they were used again. I enlightened her that the dishwasher is just that, not a sterilizing unit, never went there for grub again.

True
@hughnique We no longer have a dog, but in 40 + years of dog ownership, we never had a problem, nor did we poison the children.

No dishwasher for about 15 years and never had a microwave. I have a thermomix that I won in a prize draw at the local Intermarché in 2017. Never been used.......
