After all those years still impressive, such a 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, V8 engine, 306 hp at 6000rpm.
As long as you have enough parking space, no problem. But what to do when four cheeky little ones have taken your spot?

lovely GT350. I hope there is insurance to cover a pedestrian falling over the charging wire.

Let's go to a midsize car, a real two-seater. Where have they all gone, the MG-B, the Spitfire, the Alfa Romeo Spider and the Triumph TR? In 1989 Mazda introduced the MX-5. On the road again.

Where have all the good times gone? And, by the way, what happened to those Hatchbacks? Not a priority for the car manufacturers, not at all. The name of the game is now mini SUVs. A nice example of this almost extinct Hatchback species is this Mazda 323 1.5 LX. Built to last: registered in august 1995, regular maintenance, oil etc., new tyres and several new batteries. That was all. Starting on a cold winter morning? Never a problem the proud owner told me. Vintage car, brings you from A to B or Z. What else do you want?

Department Apologies & Excuses.

The French corner & a hot summer's day when a British couple stepped into a French church.

Many years of car restoration, a certain Nils Dogger about his project: 'The Kaiser-Frazer came his way by chance in 2008." I had bought some tools from a garage in Renesse and went to pick them up. There, I ran into a large restoration project of this car, which was almost entirely apart in parts. They wanted to get rid of it and I considered making an offer. But then I had to consult with Dick first. If he wouldn't like it, I wouldn't buy it.‘’ Dick? ‘’Yes, Dick van Krimpen, one of our staff who really knows everything about cars."

Dick liked it and advised: ‘Just make an offer’. Nils did just that. A so-called car proxy bid, where a maximum amount is specified in advance if selling by auction. ‘’That maximum was not even reached. I was able to buy it for a few thousand euros‘’ says Nils.

This model was known as ' Rotterdam Deluxe'. From Wikipedia the following background information: ' In 1947, the Dutch company Nederlandse Kaiser-Frazer Fabrieken (NEKAF) was created with a new factory constructed in Rotterdam. NEKAF assembled 6,000 1949 Kaiser knock-down kits imported from the US using some local content (batteries, tires, interior, carpets, glass) and ignition and electrical system parts from France and Great Britain. Kaiser cars were assembled through 1954 with NEKAF exporting to Europe, South America and the Middle East.'

A 1951 Kaiser-Frazer.

Not a classic car, for many years already on the road and at first sight it looks like a real, original Willys jeep. Not obeying to the American law: Bigger is Better, let's make a Great Jeep again, but more with a design touch called: small is beautiful.

Friday and Saturday there was a party going in Corbigny (Nièvre) on the Champ de Foire, the 33ème Rallye de l’Anguison. Also a nice Lancia Stratos, a seventies design.
