In the bush, a missionary comes face to face with a hungry lion determined to devour him raw. The missionary sees clearly that he will not be able to escape death, since he has no weapon, and he understands that the only thing left to him is prayer. But suddenly he has an illumination, and this is the prayer he has the idea of addressing to Heaven: "Lord, inspire this lion with Christian sentiments." Now, thanks to this prayer, the lion actually stops advancing in a frightening manner, kneels down on its back legs, makes the sign of the cross with its front paw, and piously pronounces the Grace: "Bless, Lord, this food that we are going to take."
