Weather ... again

I'm wearing one of my Aran cardigans over 2 other lays and a snood. It's definitely taters in the mould here! I hate winter but I welcome the recent rain. Our cat hates both cold and wet, but he''s even older than I. All the strays have turned up in the last few dats, but OH refusess to leave then a bowl outside.

Whoever designed thenew village in the 50s didn't know what they were ding: we face south, so half the house is freezing in the winter while the other half bakes in the summer.

The House of Aran in Glasgow, too far away. Quivers down my backbone or already warming up? Once again this year, skating enthusiasts can enjoy themselves at the ice rink, which boasts perhaps the most beautiful view in Amsterdam. From 24 October to 16 January 2027, skating will be permitted every day between 12.00 and 21.00 on the Museumplein. Tickets cost 16 euros, or 8 euros for those bringing their own skates (Nordic skates and clap skates are not permitted).

That"s a beautifil venue for a rink. Not for me though, I've added another layer this morning as Jack Frost has put in an appearance.

We're out in the semi-rigides this evening as the Ultimes, the monster trimarans, go out of the lock and to moorings off Dinard. These huge things can go at between 45 - 50 knots (about 83 to 92 km/h), single handed ... frightening !!! A photo to show the scale .... our SRs are the same as the one in the photo - priest going around blessing all the boats - including ours !
