Thanks for that video Sparkle.

Sherlock isn't doing well. Yesterday morning when I picked him up he screamed. I tried to find the source of his pain, which seemed to be tail and lower back, as before.

He behaved weirdly all day, crying when I touched him. Last night he had a fight with the bath mat, which I guess must have fallen down in front of him.

During the night I think he tried to jump onto the bed but fell and screamed again. I turned the light on to keep in sight what he was doing.

So today off to the vet again. He is in pain all down his back, so much so when I tried to hold him still, he bit me.

I've left him with the vet for another xray and blood tests as well as pain relief.

My poor baby, at best it might be a spinal bone infection which will be treated with antibiotics and pain relief. I don't want to think it might be a spinal deformity or the big C.

An infection might explain his weird behaviour with the bath mat, perhaps like elderly humans with urine infections.

For my bitten arm as it is my arm without lymph nodes, I've started a course of antibiotics. My pharmacy is so good to give me them in advance of an ordonnance.

Last time I got bit by a different cat at the same vets, I ended up in hospital for 4 days. As MrMoTM is away I can't afford to let that happen.

So sorry for the ongoing post I'm very concerned and waiting for the vet to call me with news.

Best wishes for you both MotM2.
Finding out what is wrong with an animal is so difficult because they cannot tell you what is wrong and where exactly it hurts.

Poor you, MOTM2, I hope you'll get relief from pain and the same for poor Sherlock. It must be heartbreaking to see him suffering, but let's hope the vet finds out what the problem is and can do something about it. Cats are generally very resilient .... best wishes and hugs for you both ...

Thinking of you MOTM2, I had a cat that got bitten on his tail once and that went very painful and needed antibiotics
