Voitures Anciennes

A small, but perfectly formed gathering of classics in our local town, St Yrieix La Perche this morning. Son took his Saab (which will be 30years old this year!), and managed to park it next to his dream car! Not quite in the same league, but b-le-ssss!

There's one for each of us in those photos. She wants an MX5 and I'm keen on a 944. Both will remain only dreams. Wish I had seen the surge in prices at the beginning. Even totally boring stuff is out of reach these days once it is over a few decades old.

Just had a look at the French old car events website. The nearest event for the next few months is two hours drive away, and all the rest are double that.

We should have chosen to stay in the Charente.

Paimpol is doable. It wasn't on my events site. Ta. :)

You would be spoilt for choice if you were still there.

Bayleaf. What is the white sports car in your photo. It remindsme of our MR2 but it's not quite the same.

Porsche 944 I think!

Robert Arthur's photo is an old Volvo? What a lovely looking car!

I think it’s a P1800 but I’m no expert on Volvos. Our local lifeboat mechanic had one when I was a teenager.

I like the photo of the two Mazda MX5s, the original and a modern version. One of the cars in the photos is the same model as the worst car I ever owned. 🙂🙂
