I too am looking forward to meeting our only grandchild (heir to my fortune poor girl). She is three on Monday and having a party with the family side who live in UK. Of course we have seen each other on facetime, but to be able to give her a ride on the donkey and show her the woods, river and countryside will be great fun. How all this is going to affect her will be difficult to assess. They live in Tokyo.

Our 16 year old grand daughter has just made her first unacompanied trip across the water to spend a week with us.
I hardly saw her all week as she was either out horse riding, shopping/ touring around with Mme or in her bedroom sleeping/ talking to mates on her phone.
She did put in a regular appearance each evening for dinner before disappearing once again to her room until a late breakfast the next day.
Totally different from her elder sisters who visit regularly & like nothing better than sitting around with us & a nice bottle of Rose just chatting.
Left for home this morning with Mme taking her back to the ferry.
Apparently she had a wonderfull time & can't wait to visit again.
