Mondial Relais scam??

#1 Post by rabbit »

I have just received an email from Mondial Relais asking me to provide a mobile number. They say my account will be closed in 30 days if I don’t comply. Is it a scam?

Rabbit - it's a scam.
I received an email from Mondial Relais recently. They wanted my mobile number and asked me to click on a link. I didn't, but typed in the link on my 'puter. It took me to what looked like a genuine MR site but gave a parcel reference number. I knew it was fake - the real Mondial Relais site is not the same.
The scammers play on people's fear "your account will be closed". Do you actually have an account with Mondial Relais ? If so you can check up by logging in yoursel rather than clicking on a link.

Be careful out there folks!
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Speed here beyond the edge of civilisation I've had speeds between 1.2 and 6 mb/s and the expensive new satellite system doesn't work at all. Currently trying to terminate the contract early but it is looking like costing about €600 to do so.

Just received my latest parcel from China. A yagi antenna+signal amplifier+wifi box. Ever hopeful.

Anything like that may or may not be a scam, I always login to the account via my normal means (never use links in the email) and see if there a similar message there, if there is, then it is probably genuine.
