As I mentioned earlier, it is not clear how those of us with most of our income from abroad would be paid the compensation. The initial presentation said it would be paid directly by employers as part of the salary, French pension providers, unemployment office, etc. and not through the tax office.

However, there are others in France, e.g. freelancers, short contract/temporary workers, multiple employers (babysitters, gardeners, etc) where the payment of the compensation is not easy and the government needs to provide further clarification.

I guess it's easiest for les salariés and fonctionnaires. Then, depending on how someone is registered for work. Also, how do they see if you actually own a vehicle?!

Just forwarded article to daughter - as being employed full-time by a big hypermarket, fitting the criteria, she may well be in the group to be paid in December. It's full-time employed on low wages who will be feeling these increases the most.

You don't need to own a vehicle or even have a driving licence. Even 100-year old pensioners will be eligible, if they meet the income criteria.

Which is less than € 24,000 a year I think.

As I understand it, for employees/pensioners, etc. it is a net 2000€ or less in the month they decide to use. 2100€ in that month could mean missing out even if the month before and after are only 1800€.

They've still to give the rules for the other groups, incl those with foreign pensions, but they might decide to use the RFR.
