34° here too but breezy now and then, so bearable. No fireworks here (that I heard) but lots of communes baulked at the cost anyway. As Bayleaf said, OTC fireworks were banned both for the fire risk and because they've become a weapen against the police and pompiers.

breezy here, cooler and it's lovely. I read that some departements had drone shows to replace fireworks. We didn't have fireworks or drone shows here.

No shortage of firework displays in this area - a lot of communes seem to be having them this year. The weather and sky cleared early evening and Saint Malo had a very good display. We had a perfect view being posted up a hill opposite. There weren't as many people as there were last year, probably because of the weather. It rained again in the night but it's sunny and breezy this morning and about 18°C. The garden is beautifully green and lush - this time last year it was brown. We haven't had to do much watering either.
