Building material costs in France going up in price

There's been word of the price hike for quite a whie.
Shades of the early 70s, then it was the oil crises which caused it and building costs doubled, then again.
In 1971 I paid £4000 for a third of an acre building plot with another £4000 for materials to build a three bedroom chalet house.
In 1976 another third acre plot cost me £10,000 with building costs costing £20,000 for a property of the same size.

It's good to see prices from the past. I guess from what your saying is prices will not come back down anytime soon.

In my 55 years as a master builder apart from minor flutuations it always does up like most things.
Take food, today as oldies we eat less than 30 odd years ago but our weekly shopping costs has doubled.

Of course, someone shorting bank shares might make a killing (assuming shorting isn't banned).

As I am not an Apple fanboy, and have no intention of becoming one, at least I can reassure myself that I have not contributed to Mr Cook's bonus.
