and having to look at security cameras being installed, more bloody expense.
Maybe try putting up a few visable "Maison sous surveillance" signs around the place. Cheaper, easier & quicker than cameras.
I've got 'em here, originally for when horses were being 'molested'.
I have since fitted 4 external cameras but in the few years they've been up nothing onerous has been recorded.
A camera arrived from Amazon yesterday, seemed just what was required, mains powered so no solar panels to go wrong, controllable by zoom pan and the rest of it, then I noticed a sim card and another slot for a memory card. Evidently the sim card is a prepaid for 30 days and I have to provide the memory card, which is where it all starts going pear shaped, especially to a techno numpty like me. I get the impression the sim card comes in to play if you wish to access the camera from a remote position, i.e. if you are on holiday, which will not be pertinent in my situation. The memory card might be, and again forgive my ignorance, surely it is not a requisite to have to climb up to the camera and take the memory card out should you need to obtain footage of an incident, or is this card there to provide evidence to my phone?
This is the one I got from Amazon, and at 32€ seems a good buy.
Xega 4G LTE Security Camera Outdoor【24/7 Recording】 2K CCTV PTZ Camera No WiFi, Auto Tracking AI Human Detection Instanrt Alert, Plug in Wired, IP66 TF/Cloud Storage, SIM Card Included
All I want is a notification to my phone of any potential incident, and for footage to be recorded somewhere, any ideas.
