There was an article in a French paper recently - Sud Ouest I think, about a Dr in N France refusing to have the vaccine. How can that instill confidence in her patients?

There is a Dr near here in Issigeac who also refuses? So an ex patient told us.

It has come to the point when I am starting to think about conspiracy theories. Is it possible that various groups, and influential individuals, are being manipulated to promote the anti-vax, anti-pass sanitaire messages in the interests of foreign countries who wish to destabilise us?

Who knows the motivations of some anti-vaxers - but a number of countries and institutions are known to have dissed the vaccines produced in other countries.

When supposedly serious politicians start spreading such messages it can hardly be surprising when vaccine skepticism increases.

Doesn't it raise questions as to why these people working in the healthcare system, and obviously are or have been witness to the amount of suffering and deaths caused, are refusing to take a vaccine that they are giving to the rest of us. Do they know something we don't?

Bullspit ,it’s saying things like that that causes people to act irrationally. The people who work in healthcare are the biggest bunch of gossips ( next to the police) if there was something it could not be kept quiet

[mention]hughnique[/mention] It's nothing more than mistrust and misplaced "principles". Sadly those people, who seem to think they know more than those more qualified than they are, set a bad example to others but fortunately are a small minority.
We've got a very good vaccination record in Brittany - according to France 3 yesterday, over 96% of hospital personnel have been vaccinated and almost 90% of adults. Those few who refuse the vaccine will not cause a problem and their bank accounts will soon put pressure on them ....

You have to admit, when Doctors and Nurses are reluctant to get the vaccine - that can only fuel doubt in others' minds.

In a twist of irony, my daughter would also have been suspended had she not recently contracted the virus. Thankfully, after a couple of weeks of fever and all the classic symptoms, she's back at work and now qualifies for six months of Pass Sanitaire. She can't actually get a vaccine for so many months now, and then has to have an antibody test. The really annoying thing is, all the while she was ill, still sharing the same small appartment as boyfriend and another friend, the other two didn't fall ill at all!
