Somewhere between Condom and Lannemezan?

Following on from Curtis’ post I’m searching for local knowledge of the area between Condom and Lannemezan. I’m going to a weekend motorcycle event in the Dordogne later in the month and I’ve also arranged to meet up with a friend from the U.K. who will be passing through the Spanish Pyrenees a couple of days later. I could go home between the two events but as that is in the wrong direction I’ve decided to spend a couple of nights on the route south in an area I don’t know. I’ve passed through several times but I’ve never stopped anywhere there for more than half an hour. Has anyone who knows the area got a good suggestion of places where it would be worth camping and places to visit?

Not far from Condom, there's La Romieu with it's Collègiale and Les Jardins de Coursiana. Then Lectoure is worth a wander and has (had?) lots of decent restos.

There was a nice campsite just outside Condom, run by the Dutch, sorry cannot be more specific, its a long time since.
