I'm a happy bunny tonight!

#1 Post by Wilbro »

Back in September the wild storms we had one evening knocked out our local power lines for 19 hours. Our recent EDF bill has 72€ deducted to compensate.
Again this year Impots messed up our Tax Fonc and sent a bill for approx 140€ when it should be 5 or 6 hundred euros. I've had to go back every year to say they have under charged us for various reasons then been hit with the balance in the New Year.
I told them back when the bill came out and no response so reminded them a week ago.
Today an apology, they will correct it in 2024 but this year they will only charge us what they sent which is for waste collection only to make up for the aggravation they've given us.
Brilliant. :D

Just to burst any bubbles, you may get charged interest on non payment.

@Polarengineer What non-payment? They have waived the charge for this year other than waste collection and will charge correctly next year. They were quite explicit about that. The problem I pointed out to them was that for some unknown reason they had changed our house from batiment to non-batiment and so the error was not our fault. This was pointed out to them within days of the arrival of the Tax notification.
No bubbles bursting here.
