Confused with La Poste

I have to send back an item to UK, I'm wondering about how much it's going to cost.

The parcel weighs 933 grams.

I've looked on La Poste English website but it appears from what I see it has to be signed for and will cost nearly €20.

I want the cheapest method possible, don't need it signed for but will need some sort of proof that
I've sent it to get my refund.

Can anyone suggest the cheapest way please?

A definat drawback from brexit this one, a few years ago I sent two large headlight units to a friend in Scotland using mondial relay, it cost me 16€, mondial relay won't even ship to UK anymore.

I had to pay 21,65 for a shoebox sized parcel which weighed just under 1 kg.

Also had to go onto the La Poste website to fill out a customs declaration. Couldn't do it at the bureau, so had to come back home to find it on the Internet. What a palaver, thank you Brexit, NOT.
