If the courts were sure enough of their case to convict him, how have his lawyers managed to get him out ?
The answer to that is they have got him released pending his appeal trial next March.
If it were Joe Bloggs from a Seine-Saint-Denis, would he have got the same treatment ? I doubt it because he wouldn't have had the money to hire expensive lawyers.

Probably not, but for me the conviction was itself dodgy with the stench of Mur de Cons all over it. Just as I believe the conviction of Cédric Jubilar is dodgy - another "Omar m'a tué" case imo.

As for Cédric Jubilar, without a body, the evidence doesn't seem strong enough. No-one's succeeded in making him confess either ....
