Arrived in my inbox just now, along with an attachment which I haven't clicked on. The whole lot now consigned to spam and deleted, but just wondered what it was all about.
When I saw the bit about mandat d'arret, my first thought was that it might be nice to have someone looking after me for a change.

I received something similar about 2 weeks ago, it’s definitely a spam and if you google « arnaque convocation » you’ll find quite a lot of information.

We would never receive that sort of communication by email - it would have come by post with avis de reception or hand delivered by a gendarme or huissier !

This is the first time I've received this sort of spam for years Needless to say I dumped it immediately without opening the attachment !

They always seem to be busier around holiday periods and a lot of scamsters have been extra bored during the pandemic. The last one of these I had (2 days ago) arrived simultaneously with a Loto billions "win". Presumably to fund my defence...

They are busier because you are busier - one of the tricks of phishers is to reduce your thinking time one way or another (see also 72h deadline on Blaze's) to increase likelihood of a click. Sending phishing messages when you have time to think reduces effectiveness.

We have just completed another phishing test in the company - an interesting week awaits some of my colleagues!

The wife has been getting emails from Paypal recently trying it on and threatening to shut her account down, blah blah blah. They are getting increasingly threatening. I can see how someone a bit less savvy might cave in.
If it is genuine and they send someone around to the door she'll probably greet them with a swift kick in the goolies. Should I warn them?
